The good news is, a chip repair prevents a large crack developing and restores the structural integrity of the screen. Pitting is gradual damage to the windscreen. Pits are small surface chips. Over time, windscreen pitting can mar the surface of your windscreen affecting the vehicle’s appearance and creating hazardous visibility and safety problems.
Wiper blade scratches on the front and rear windscreens affect visibility, making them a roadworthy issue. As a rule of thumb, if you can't catch your fingernail in the wiper scratch on the front windscreen, the scratch can be removed. Deeper scratches can be removed from the rear windscreen, side windows and areas that aren't in the drivers direct line of sight.
Acrylic headlights oxidise when exposed to UV light, causing the surface to become foggy and discoloured. Oxidized headlight lenses affect the light output that comes from the weakened headlight, making for hazardous night driving conditions. This is a roadworthy issue. A Headlight restoration remove the oxidised surface and returns the headlight lens to a bright, clear condition.
